Update!

Sorry for the lack of news, everyone at TTG has been very busy with school and life in general... All of us have been working on various aspects of several games including, backstories, game mechanics and all NEW rulesets!

Currently, I have been working on game mechanics for the VSF sub game and helping Luka with the background of our Victorian world.

Mike was digging through his old emails when he stumbled upon a gem of a ruleset that he had written some time ago, SNAFU! This set is being polished up and will hopefully be released this year as a pdf and through Lulu.com

I am also working on artwork for the VSF sub game and will have some previews up soon.

Cheers,
Rye

Also, I am changing the scope of Aeropunk. Stay tuned for more info!

Biiiiiig Setback...

My netbook has decided to go to the big MoBo in the sky... And it has taken my only draft of AeroPunk with it... If I can get it fixed then that would be great! If not... Well... I see a lot of retyping in my future...

Hi all! I just want to give a shout out to our newest member of TTG, Luka! Luka will be in charge of writing background fluff and short stories for TTG's games. Already has he set the gears in motion for the VSF submarine game!

Minor setback...

Apparently my cat likes to chew on miniatures... Especially ones that I am sculpting... I was hoping to have more pics up tonight, but, it looks like I am going to be fixing my first jet instead!

AeroPunk Miniatures teaser!

Just like that, I decided to get started with the sculpting after my last post and have made some progress. This is the start of the first plane in the Aeropunk range. Essentially I am sticking with the tried and true method of making an armature and then covering with putty. By doing this, I can create smoother and more futuristic looking miniatures and also add panel lines and details a lot easier! The plane in the shot is a 1/600 Mig 29 from Tumbling dice. All minis will be in 1/600 scale, Including the massive sky fortresses I will be making! ( Those will be around 20/25cm long!!!)

Miniatures for AeroPunk

After some careful thought and number crunching, it looks like 3D rendered miniatures are going to have to go on the backburner. Instead, I am going to sculpt the miniatures by hand! The only problem is what scale I am going to make them in. Stay tuned for ramblings and pictures!

AeroPunk Playtesters needed soon

Hi again folks!

I am currently working on playtest counters for a playtest package. Depending on my school schedule, I should have this all ready for the end of the month! Anyone interested should email me (Rye) or leave a message on this post with your contact info and I will compile a list.

AeroPunk

Aerial games have always interested me since I started gaming. Before that, I was surrounded by all manner of aircraft hobbies. My father in particular was/is an RC airplane enthusiast so he had a giant influence on my love of planes. Fast forward a couple of years, add some video game influence, and a better understanding of aerial gaming and we get TTG's first foray in gaming. AeroPunk combines all the fantastic elements of video game aircombat and puts it on the table top. While creating the game we drew influence from such classic arcade games as Raiden Jet and Strikers 1945. The game itself can be played with as little as 4 miniatures (2 a side) and will feature a pilot experience system so players can take green pilots and turn them into aces! Also, the game will be hexless relying on the miniatures hex base for turning.

We are also going to do a miniature line for the game. Rye is currently talking to a 3D designer to do some aircraft for rapid prototyping. the miniatures will then be cast in resin or metal depending on cost. Stay tuned for some concept artwork and game details.

Welcome!

Hi and welcome to Tea Time Games! This blog will follow the development of games created by myself, Rye and my good friend Mike. We have a bunch of ideas and look forward to putting out some rulesets in the near future! Our current projects include "AeroPunk" a game of scifi jet combat and a Victorian Sci-Fi Submarine game with sea monster and Lovecraft elements throwin in for good measure!

The second purpose of this blog will be to showcase miniatures we find interesting as well as rule systems that interest us.

Please stay tuned and happy gaming!
